Dog Dot Cat LLC Contract
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Client understands that one or more pet sitters/dog walkers may be used during the duration of this contract. For the convenience of our pet care providers, Client authorizes Dog Dot Cat LLC (hereinafter Dog Dot Cat) to transport their pet by vehicle, if needed. For the safety of our dog walkers and your pet, we reserve the right to use our own leashes, harnesses, and collars, if we deem that a pet needs extra support while outdoors and in our care.
PAYMENT:
Regular M-F Dog Walks Per Month/Occasional Weekly & Weekend Dog Walks: An electronic invoice will be sent via email on or about the 1st day of each month for all walks completed the previous month. Client understands that the invoice is due and payable upon receipt. If a credit card is not on file and payment isn't made within four full business days after receipt of invoice, an administration fee of $35.00 is automatically assessed with an additional $25 administrative fee applied if payment isn't received after 7 days of the original administrative fee charge. Dog Dot Cat accepts payments by Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB). We ask clients to save their preferred credit card on file in the Client Billing section of their Precise Petcare account. The card on file will be automatically charged around the 1st of each month. "Dog Dot Cat" will appear on credit card transaction statements. Credit card fees are charged 3.5% of the invoice total plus an additional $1.65 processing charge.
Pet Sitting: Client agrees to pay electronically prior to departure, or leave payment in full for pick up on the first visit. If payment is not made prior to departure, a $35 administrative fee is assessed. A $30 fee will be applied for any returned checks. There will be a $25.00 fee if the Client wishes to meet a pet sitter. An advance 50% deposit may be required on lengthy assignments. All pet sitting and other fees can be viewed on our website dogdotcat.com. Dog Dot Cat reserves the right to raise our rates, as advertised on our website. Dog Dot Cat accepts payments by Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB). To avoid administration fees, and payment reminders, credit cards can be saved in the Client Billing Section of each Client Account on the Precise Pet-care platform. For pet sitting, the card on file will be automatically charged at the time of booking. "Dog Dot Cat" will appear on credit card transaction statements.
CANCELATION POLICY:
M-F Dog Walks/Occasional Weekly & Weekend Dog Walks: Clients must call, email, or text by 8PM the night before the scheduled walk to cancel. Otherwise, Client understands they will be charged for that day. Cancellation exceptions may be made in certain situations where the walker has not yet arrived to complete a walk, or in times of inclement weather that are not in the client and pet care provider's control.
Pet Sitting: Services previously scheduled must be cancelled by 5PM two days before the scheduled service. Otherwise, Client understands they will be charged the full rate of the scheduled service. Notice of cancellation should be done by phone, email, or text.
In the event Client's dog or cat bites a 3rd party, Dog Dot Cat is covered by commercial bonding and liability insurance through Pet Sitters International, and will be responsible for any injuries during the event. Dog Dot Cat agrees to provide the services stated in this contract in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Dog Dot Cat except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Dog Dot Cat. With reciprocal consideration, Client agrees to be responsible for any injuries incurred by Dog Walker/Pet Sitter due to Client's pet (e.g. Pet Sitter is bitten by Client's pet) or injuries incurred by Pet Sitter due to condition of Client's premises. All pets are to be currently vaccinated. Should Pet Sitter be bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from Client's animal, it will be the Client's responsibility to pay all costs and damages incurred by Pet Sitter or Dog Dot Cat, related to the dog or cat bite.
In the event of personal emergency or illness of Pet Sitter, Client authorizes Dog Dot Cat to arrange for another qualified person to fulfill responsibilities set forth in this contract. Every attempt will be made to notify client regarding such situation. Client may also notify Dog Dot Cat that they have made their own personal arrangements and how to best prepare for the transition to alternative pet sitting care.
If anyone else has access to Client's home while the pet-sitting job is being performed, or the pet sitting job is being shared with another person or company, Dog Dot Cat can assume no liability for any damages or losses to client's home or pet.
Dog Dot Cat is authorized to perform care and services as outlined in this contract. Should medical attention be necessary and the specified veterinarian is unavailable, Dog Dot Cat is authorized to to seek emergency veterinary care at Atlas Vet (1326 H Street NE); Union Vet (609 2nd Street NE); Bond Vet (600 Pennsylvania Ave. SE); VEG ER (24 hour emergency animal hospital for Pets) 925 H Street NE; Friendship Hospital for Animals (24 hour emergency animal hospital) 4105 Brandywine Street NW; VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital (24 hour emergency Hospital for Animals) 2660 Duke Street, Alexandria VA. Client releases Dog Dot Cat from all liabilities related to transportation, treatment, and expense. Every attempt will be made to notify Client regarding such situation. However, if Client is not reachable and time is of the essence, Client authorizes Dog Dot Cat to approve medical and/or emergency treatment (excluding euthanasia) to keep the pet stable with minimal life support, or as recommended by a veterinarian. Client agrees to reimburse Dog Dot Cat for any expense incurred, including transportation costs to the vet, for attending to this need. Client also agrees to reimburse Dog Dot Cat for any expenses incurred for home, food, or pet supplies needed and purchased by Dog Dot Cat or Pet Sitter.
Dog Dot Cat will give the utmost of care in watching both your pets and your home. However, due to the extreme unpredictability of animals, Dog Dot Cat can not accept responsibility for mishaps of an extraordinary or unusual nature (e.g. furniture damage, accidental death, etc.) or any complications in administering medications to the animal, unless due to the negligence of Dog Dot Cat. Nor can Dog Dot Cat be liable for injury, disappearance, death, or fines of pets with free access to the outdoors.
In the event of extreme inclement weather or disaster, Dog Dot Cat is entrusted to use best judgement in caring for pets and home and will be held harmless for consequences related to such decisions.
In the event that the pet sitter is required to employ a locksmith to gain entry into Client's premises due to a malfunction of the lock or a failure of the client to leave a key, it shall be the responsibility of the client to reimburse for all costs incurred. The client expressly gives pet sitter the authority to employ a locksmith on client's behalf in the event of the aforementioned occurrences.
